July 2008 - Oneta Resort opens, in the little Ono island, North-East of Kadavu.
The resort, with Italian management, offers a right compromise between luxury and nature, with eco-friendly solutions like the electricity, entirely derived from sun and wind.
The resort will soon have a small marine biology lab, hosting international scientists and students working on reef ecology and conservation.

Astrolabe Reef, in front of Kadavu islands, is the fourth longest barrier reef in the world. Wonderfully preserved, offers breathtaking underwater sceneries, great richness and diversity of soft corals, many reef fishes and, pleasant surprises, constant presence of manta rays and large sharks.
Between biology, photography and scientific exploration. The optimim vacation for people looking after exotic countries not too savage. Looking for high level dives. Or, for who always dreamed the Pacific islands...
