• Ararauna Liveaboard is a wooden Phinisi Boat, registered under Indonesian
Flag, owned by an Indonesian Company
operating chartered boats for scuba diving safaris.

• Partners of the managing company are 5 European individuals and 1
indonesian individual.

• The Boat, sailing in the past 18 months for commercial activities, is available
to professional operators for sale or long lease.

• The price for all company assets is € 750.000, including the registered PT,
authorizations and registrations, the boat, its riggings and equipments, a well
run crew and a portfolio of customers and bookings for 2011.

• The boat is available for inspection; time and date need to be confirmed upon
request (in the winter + spring months in Sorong area, and summer + autumn
in Komodo area).

• The owning company was founded in 2008 by five partners from
Italy, Germany and Switzerland plus one Indonesian partner.

• Aim of the start up is to promote exploration diving, recreational diving
and biological reasearch in the Indonesian marine ecosystem.

• Three of the partners have long previous experiences as owners and
managers of diving operations in Manado, Sulawesi and Sharmel Sheik,
Egypt.

• The company completed in 2010 its registration process as Indonesian
PT PMA and it is due to be fully incorporated by November 2010

The boat

Ararauna is a Pinisi schooner, motorised, two masted
sailing schooner built according to traditional
Indonesian design.
Ararauna is an original project; deck, spaces and
interiors have been designed to maximize comfort
for scuba divers and operational efficiency for the
crew.
Overall length: 40 m.
Length of deck: 32 m.
Width: 9 m. Tonnage: 189 tons. 2 masts with approx.
sail surface 300 m2, 1 main engine Nissan 420 HP,
cruising speed 7-8 knots.

The commercial partners

Besides biological research cruises, for the most part
of the year Ararauna operates as Safari Boat hosting
customers of different tour operators or is fully
chartered by TO’s.
• Cruises are sold through the Web (direct sales) or
through several Tour Operators:
• Italy: Albatros Top Diving, Aquadiving Tours,
Macana, Compagnia del Mar Rosso / Spot Project

2010-2011 operations

• Ararauna started cruising for recreational diving in
summer 2009.
• During 2010, the company has increased its
commercial links with Tour Operators and web/direct
presence. Sales and occupancy rate have been
steadily increasing during the year, following the
good reputation and the positive feedback from
diving customers.
• Between July and December 2010 Ararauna is hosting
more than 100 paying guests, with €177.000 net
revenues, with a relevant growth compared to H1

The crew

•Cruise operations are led by one or two cruise Directors. CD’s
coordinate on board and diving activities. They are assisted in dives
with guides according to number of guests
•A crew of 14 people runs sailing operations, safety and assist
guests.
•The crew has been selected during 18 months and represent a well
trained and integrated team. The most critical roles are covered by
professionals who had previosly spent years sailing in the waters of
Komodo and Raja Ampat. 2010-2011: operational planning and
reservations
•The Indonesian crew has all the requisites and certifications as
required by Indonesian law and comprise three officers of class ANT
4-5 plus three officers of class ATT 3-5

Financial data

The company has relied only on capital paid in
full by its shareholders
• It has no outstanding debit of any sort
• During 2010, gross income was 233,000 EUR,
although during this period some capital
expenses (extraordinary maintenance) have
taken place and have been accounted for.
• All financial data are available for checks

 

Terms of the Trade

The owners will sell the company
and its assets as a whole if a satisfactory proposal arises from
perspective buyers.
• Some of the fittings and equipment on board are warranted by the
sellers for no longer than six months from date of purchase. If
original equipment warranty spans longer than six months, the
buyer will claim directly to manufacturer or reseller.
• At least 90% of the price has to be paid in cash at transfer of
property.
• A 10% can be settled within the subsequent 12 months; that
amount of money is available as a deposit for warranty on fittings
and equipment, according to the agreement and as a deposit for
possible legal or other claims from third parties.
